Social Program

The Social Program this year includes a BBQ Welcome Reception on Roebuck bay, dinner at the famous "Matso's", a Gala dinner (venue TBA) and a half day excursion to the famous Willie Creek Pearl Farm.

29 July Welcome Reception BBQ

A BBQ will be held on the lawns of the Mangrove Resort, which has breathtaking views on the stunning turquoise waters of Roebuck bay.

30 July Dinner at Matso's

Historic Matso's is not only a famous historical attraction in Broome but also a great place to dine. You will truly enjoy the layback atmosphere of this historic building from the great pearling days of Broome as well as the food and beers from its microbrewery.

Excursion to Wille Creek Pearl Farm

The excursion is included in your registration or accompanying persons package and is really a must for all visitors to Broome. You will discover how the rare and beautiful Australian South Sea Pearls are produced. The tour encompasses the 45 min drive to Willie Creek on a mostly unsealed 4WD road, a guided boat tour of Willie Creek, a demonstration on how oysters are seeded and pearls cultured and other information about pearls and some free time at the cafe and an opportunity to purchase pearls.
